Although we may not even realize it, the little ones are watching us\nat all times: how we react in certain situations, how we speak, what we eat,\neven how we move! And, being their closest references, they take us as a guide\nand internalize our example as their own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on\nstudies by Dr. Sonja Lyubomirsky and Mar\u00eda Jes\u00fas \u00c1lava Reyes, here are a series\nof basic guidelines that help promote happiness in children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In brief,\nit is about promoting gratitude, kindness, teamwork, communication, integrity\n&#8230; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>There\nare eight keys to childhood happiness:<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/colegiocelta.com.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/8-claves...-2-1024x689.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16951\" width=\"360\" height=\"241\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1 &#8211;<\/strong> <strong>Be nice.<\/strong> Kind children experience more satisfaction and energy, are more loving and agreeable, and enjoy social acceptance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2<\/strong> <strong>&#8211;<\/strong> <strong>Be thankful.<\/strong> Gratitude promotes mental stability and enriches children&#8217;s growth. Children value more what they have and their environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3 &#8211;<\/strong> <strong>Be positive.<\/strong> Children raised in a positive environment are more confident and believe more in themselves. They have more control of their mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4 &#8211;<\/strong> <strong>Do not label.<\/strong> Labeling of children should be avoided. Telling them &#8216;you are bad&#8217;, &#8216;you are a crybaby&#8217;, etc. They predispose them to shape their attitude to fit this profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5 &#8211;<\/strong> <strong>Do not dramatize. <\/strong>We must give their fair value to things and situations. We must extinguish behaviors such as insults or disrespect among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>6 &#8211;<\/strong> <strong>Personal achievement.<\/strong> Children are happier if they achieve their goals on their own merits. We must encourage them in this matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7 &#8211;<\/strong> <strong>Autonomy.<\/strong> Stimulating the independence of children will enhance their self-esteem, security and self-confidence. 8 &#8211; Emotional intelligence. Children must learn to control and regulate their emotions to solve problems peacefully.
