Where does the IB come from?

In the late 1960s, a group of innovative educators saw the need for an international approach to education in order to equip young people with the skills, values ​​and knowledge necessary to create a more peaceful future, creating the International Baccalaureate (IB) in 1968 in Geneva, Switzerland. The IB aims to offer better opportunities than other programmes to form caring, informed and knowledgeable young people who are motivated to achieve their goals. We hope that our students contribute to building a better world through mutual understanding and intercultural respect.
