7 useful tools to reinforce online education

In these times of new educational modalities, all the recommendations add up. There are many tools that are emerging and others that are regaining importance, so many that we do not know which one to use.
We took on the task of testing some pages and apps that can support you according to the topics. If your child has difficulty in any area, surely some of these tools can add to their learning path.
1.- Typing Games
The computer has become the main work tool and we know how important it is to know how to type with speed and without looking at the keyboard. We parents lived it at school in typing classes and we realized that knowing how to type with the correct fingers is very useful.
To practice and acquire this skill, we found a website with many very entertaining games that help you type quickly. The page is a section of ¨games¨ included in the site www.typing.com. It’s free and you only need to sign up if you want to save your progress.

2.- Learn to read – Syllabary
This app is free and after downloading it you do not need an internet connection. It is available for IOS and Android and offers 100 phonetic lessons to compose words using syllables. It is useful for children from third grade to first grade. With 10 minutes a day your child will learn an average of 20 words per week.
3.- Duolingo
Surely you have already heard about this app, it is without a doubt the best app to learn languages. From English to Arabic, you choose which language interests you and you go at your own pace. It has a free version that works very well and allows you to finish a language without problem. The best thing about this app is that it is for all ages, from knowing how to read, anyone can use it, even you!
4.- PicMonkey
Online jobs often require creativity. Children and young people are increasingly interested in giving them their personal touch and developing their creative abilities through design.
PicMonkey is an app that allows you to design almost Photoshop level and that will help your children to make covers, headers, posters and other illustrations they need. It is very easy to use and has a free version that allows you to do what you need.
5.- Smartick
Mexican app that works perfectly, includes many games and is very attractive. Just 15 minutes a day will be enough for your children to learn according to their level. It is for children from 4 to 14 years old and has a trial version. Then it has a price of 40 pesos per month that can vary depending on the number of children you register and the time for which you hire the services.
6.-StarMap
For slightly older students (middle school) who show interest in developing a hobby, we found an app that entertains a lot and in a very positive way. Star Map has all the information about the solar system, the stars and the universe. It contains free maps and a very innovative interface that helps you find constellations from home.
7.-Khan Academy
In this page you will find many resources to reinforce and support education. It has resources from kindergarten to first years of university. You can find materials for math, science, history, and almost every academic subject you need.
This website is for students, teachers and parents. They broadcast live and also have online conferences. This is by far the BEST tool we found and for sure you will love it.
